How clipping works

#### How a clipping campaign works.

A creator or brand funds a campaign. You edit their approved footage and post from your own accounts. RUCKUS handles the brief, coordination and review; Content Rewards tracks submissions and earnings.

-

##### Choose a campaign

Check the source footage, platforms, rate, payout cap and guidelines. Read the examples before you start.

-

##### Edit to the brief

Keep the moment clear. Use the required server logo, creator handle or “playing on” banner, and follow the brief’s caption style.

-

##### Post & submit

Publish on the approved account with the required tags and ad disclosure. Submit the public link within the campaign’s deadline.

-

##### Review & payout

The submission is checked against the brief. Approved work earns under the campaign’s payout rules; withdrawals run through Whop.

### Clipping campaigns

RUCKUS has no campaigns open yet, so this page shows you where the work is posted and how to read any campaign before you cut for it.

[A RUCKUS Clipping site](https://ruckusclipping.com/) GTA 6 Clippers is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games, Rockstar North, Take-Two Interactive or other rightsholders. Grand Theft Auto and all related marks and images belong to their owners. This is an independent clipping network run by fans of the game.

Campaigns and studio fees

RUCKUS makes money when a buyer funds a campaign and we invoice that buyer separately for running it. We take nothing out of clipper earnings, here or anywhere else, and joining the clipping network is free. Campaign terms are shown before work starts.

The board below has three parts. RUCKUS campaigns holds our own work, and it is empty, because no buyer has funded a campaign yet. Our Whop campaign hub explains where briefs and Content Rewards submissions will live. The dedicated join link is coming soon. Eight questions before you cut anything is the checklist for reading a brief on any platform, including ours.

#### RUCKUS campaigns

None open yet.

RUCKUS is recruiting the bench before GTA 6 reaches consoles on 19 November 2026. The day a buyer funds a campaign it appears here with its rate, its platforms, its minimum and the full list of reasons a clip gets denied. Until then this stays empty, because a board with invented briefs on it is worth nothing.

#### Our Whop campaign hub

RUCKUS campaigns use Whop with Content Rewards. Discord is the community. The Whop join link is coming soon. For clipper earnings, RUCKUS takes nothing from any of them. The studio fee is billed separately to the buyer.

RUCKUS on Whop · Content Rewards

Our campaign and member hub will be on Whop. The dedicated join link is coming soon; Discord is open for community updates.

Read each campaign’s posted rate, eligibility, view window, cap, review rules and payout terms inside Whop before starting. No RUCKUS campaign is listed until it is funded and open.

Read first: The actual live brief and approval requirements. A community signup is not approval to work on a campaign.

#### Eight questions before you cut anything

Every campaign on every platform can be read the same way. Ask these in order. If a brief cannot answer them, that is your answer.

- What is the rate, and in what unit?
Platforms quote per 1,000, per 100,000 and per million, and the same money looks very different in each. Convert everything to dollars per 1,000 before you compare anything.

- What is the minimum view threshold?
Below it a clip pays nothing and those views do not roll over. A high rate behind a high floor and a modest rate behind a low floor are different jobs.

- Is there a per-clip cap, and how much budget is left?
A cap stops one clip draining the pot, which protects the buyer and limits your upside on a winner. Budget remaining tells you whether the campaign is worth starting at all.

- Where does the source material come from?
A campaign that hands you a folder of footage is a different amount of work from one that expects you to find and cut from live streams yourself.

- What exactly gets a clip denied?
If the campaign will not tell you before you submit, you are working blind. This is the single best signal of whether an operator is worth your time.

- Who pays, when, and through what?
Know the platform, the hold period and the payout method before you start, not after your first clip lands.

- Does a team or captain take a cut of your payout?
On some networks joining a team means a share of everything you earn goes to whoever runs it, and the rate is not always shown to you before you are paid. Ask for the number in writing first. RUCKUS never takes a cut of what a clipper earns, anywhere.

- Is the disclosure requirement stated?
If a campaign pays you to post, you have to say so at the start of the video and switch on the platform's paid-content tool. A brief that does not mention this is a brief written by someone who has not read the rules.

#### Convert every rate to dollars per 1,000

Campaigns may quote rates per thousand, per hundred thousand or per million views. A rate announced per million reads as ten times larger than the identical rate quoted per 100,000 views. Divide a per-100,000 rate by 100 and a per-million rate by 1,000, and you have dollars per 1,000 in both cases. Do that before you compare two campaigns, so you compare the same unit, alongside the minimums, caps and qualifying-view rules.

Two more things a headline rate does not tell you. It is a maximum: clips under the minimum threshold pay nothing, and clips denied in review pay nothing. And a high rate can come with a high minimum, which is only worth taking if you already move that kind of volume on one account.

#### What a RUCKUS brief contains

When our own campaigns open, every one is built from the same standard, so once you have read one brief you can read all of them. These nine fields appear before you cut anything.

##### The RUCKUS Campaign Standard

Rate | What the campaign pays per 1,000 verified views, and the per-clip cap if there is one.
Budget remaining | Shown live. You should never cut for a pot that is already spent.
Platforms | Which of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X the campaign pays on.
Minimum views | The threshold a clip has to pass before it earns anything.
Source material | Where the footage comes from and what you are allowed to pull from.
Required elements | Tags, mentions, links, the disclosure, and anything the buyer needs in frame.
Denial reasons | The published campaign requirements, plus the applicable platform terms and content rules. Review feedback should identify the requirement involved.
Review window | How long a decision takes, and who to ask if it runs long.
Payment | Who pays, on what schedule, and what the platform's hold period is.

#### How the money moves on a RUCKUS campaign

- The buyer funds their own campaign in their own organization using Whop and Content Rewards. The money never passes through RUCKUS and we never hold campaign funds.

- The platform pays clippers directly out of that pot, on the platform's own schedule.

- RUCKUS invoices the buyer separately, at 20% of the approved budget. That fee is never taken out of the clipper pot.

- Nothing is ever sold to clippers. There is no course, no paid tier and no fee to join, and that stays true when our own campaigns open.

#### Questions, answered

##### Why are you pointing me at places you do not earn from?

Because clippers with nothing to work on leave. We would rather you work somewhere else this month and still be here when our own campaigns open. RUCKUS is paid by buyers on an invoice, so where you work in the meantime costs us nothing.

##### Do I have to join RUCKUS to use this?

No. The board is public and free, and so is every guide in the library. Join Discord to meet other clippers and follow campaign updates. Submission review will run through each campaign’s published process when campaigns open.

##### Why does the board not list individual campaigns?

Campaigns open and close without warning when a budget runs out, so any list of them here would be wrong within days. The campaign hub and the checklist help you find and assess current work. Read the live rate and the remaining budget on the platform itself before you cut.

##### What do you get out of it?

Clippers who trust the board join the room, and a bench that is good at this is what makes a buyer's campaign work. We are paid by buyers, on an invoice, at a rate printed on our pricing page.

##### Should I join a team on another platform?

Read the commission terms first. Some teams charge a disclosed commission or service fee. That may still be worth it if the captain gives you real briefs and real feedback. Ask for the number before you agree.

The mission

#### What this network is for.

Fanbases and real account assets — for creators who are just starting, and for streamers who already have an audience. Multiple YouTube accounts per creator, each one growing its own subscribers and views. Streams cut into long-form, not only shorts. And the relationships that turn one campaign into a retainer.

You're the person doing that. The campaign is the door. The retainer is the job.

475Mviews in 24 hoursGTA 6 trailer 2, May 2025. The biggest video launch on record.

Nov 19GTA 6 on consolesEveryone posts the same game the same day. The clips that get seen come from accounts the channels never reached.

The process

#### Five steps, start to paid.

Step 01

##### Join a campaign

Open campaigns are posted in the Discord with the rate, the budget remaining, and who it is for. Pick one. Nothing to sign. Campaigns run on Whop with Content Rewards, so payouts come from the platform through Whop rather than from us.

Step 02

##### Read the brief

Each one names the source footage, the platforms, the hooks that have been working, and what will get denied. Read it properly — most rejections are people who skipped it.

Step 03

##### Cut it

Whatever you edit in is fine. What matters is the first two seconds, the pacing, and whether it stops a thumb. The software you use does not matter.

Step 04

##### Post from your own account

Your handle, your page. You are building something that stays yours after the campaign ends, which is the actual point.

Step 05

##### Submit and get paid

Submit the link straight after posting so tracking starts early. The platform checks it against the campaign requirements, then a person reviews it. Approved submissions pay per thousand views on the platform's schedule until the budget is spent.

After the campaign

#### The campaign is the door, not the job.

Clippers who treat every campaign as a lottery ticket burn out inside a month. The ones who last pick two or three creators, get better at that specific content than anyone else, and stop competing on volume.

Next

##### Retainer

A fixed monthly rate for an agreed number of clips. Predictable, and it does not depend on one video going off.

Then

##### Dedicated editor

One creator, their whole short-form output. You learn their voice well enough that they stop giving notes.

After that

##### Long form

Full edits and thumbnails. It pays several times what clipping does, and clipping is how most people get there.

Not a clipper?

#### Running a server or a channel? Same studio, other door.

The clippers on this page are the network. The studio site is where a campaign gets set up around your footage, in your own Content Rewards organization, with someone reading the review queue every day.

Servers

#### What gets denied.

Listed up front so you do not waste an evening. Every denial we issue comes with the reason attached.

×

Reposting someone else's edit — including your own from another campaign.

×

Bought views, engagement pods, bot traffic — it is checked, and it removes you from every future campaign.

×

Off-brief footage — if the campaign names the source, that is the source.

×

Submitting the same clip to multiple campaigns.

×

Anything that would get the buyer in trouble — leaks, hate, impersonation, fake news framing.

✓

Multiple original clips per campaign — encouraged. Volume of distinct work is not the problem; recycled work is.

### Campaign checklist: brief to submission

Know what to check before you edit, post and submit.

#### Before you edit

Open the actual campaign and save its current brief. Confirm the source pack, allowed platforms, account requirements, payout model, rate, minimums, cap and submission deadline. Campaign settings control the work; a Discord message is not a replacement for a published rule.

#### Build to the editing guide

- Use only the authorized source files and permitted music.

- Match the example clips, aspect ratio, length and caption treatment named in the brief.

- Make the opening understandable and preserve what the speaker actually meant.

- Include required handles, tags, links and paid-content disclosures.

- Check the exported file on a phone for clipped captions, audio problems and unreadable text.

#### RP server and creator campaign examples

These sample requirements show what a brief can ask for. The actual campaign supplies its own assets, wording, placements and timing.

GTA6LARPServer campaign · example placement

RP server campaignHelp viewers identify the server shown in the footage.

- Use the supplied transparent logo in the top left throughout the clip.

- Show the approved server-name banner for the opening three seconds.

- Use footage from that server and its approved source pack.

- Add the approved server handle and destination where the brief requires them.

@[CREATOR HANDLE]Playing on [SERVER NAME]

Creator campaignMake the streamer identifiable while showing where the moment happened.

- Use the creator’s approved VOD and retain the required handle or watermark.

- Show a banner such as “@[Creator] · Playing on [Server]” when that server relationship is part of the brief.

- Keep the facecam, reaction and important gameplay visible.

- Credit and tag the creator; use the approved stream or channel destination.

Example placements using our GTA6LARP banner scene and a GTA VI trailer still. These are illustrations, not a live RP server or client campaign. A real campaign supplies matching footage, logos and approved wording.

##### What makes the placement ready for approval?

- Correct assets: use the exact file from the asset pack, preserve its proportions and follow the approved colors.

- Readable on a phone: keep logos, captions and banners inside the safe area shown in the campaign template, away from platform buttons and the bottom caption area.

- Exact wording and timing: the brief should say whether a logo stays throughout, how long a banner appears and which tags, links and disclosures are required.

- No obstructed moment: overlays must not cover subtitles, faces, the key action or essential HUD information.

- Preview before posting: compare the exported clip to the annotated example and obtain a draft approval when the campaign requires it.

For a joint creator and server campaign, agree the primary destination, logo order and both parties’ permissions before clippers start. Give them one approved overlay template and one review route.

#### Check whether a draft is required

Some campaigns require pre-post approval. Upload the draft, respond to revision notes and wait for approval before publishing. Use the account approved for that campaign.

#### Post, then submit the link

For a posting campaign, publish on the approved public account and submit its live URL. Current Content Rewards terms specify submission within 30 minutes of posting. Check the campaign and applicable terms for the exact process. Keep a record of your source, draft, live link and submission receipt.

#### What a reviewer checks

The published brief is the baseline. Review source permission, context, required elements, editing requirements, posting account and the submission window. Record a decision and a specific reason. A failed requirement should be named so the clipper understands what to change. A quality checklist helps preparation; it does not guarantee approval or payment.

#### Feedback, corrections and disputes

Follow the platform’s revision or appeal process. Do not delete or alter a submitted post to hide a problem; ask how a correction should be handled. Flag suspicious activity for investigation. A sudden view spike alone does not establish fraud.

#### Approval and payment are different stages

Approval is followed by the campaign’s validation and payout rules. CPM, per-post and retainer campaigns have different mechanics. Check your balance and status in Content Rewards, with withdrawals through Whop. RUCKUS bills its studio fee to the buyer separately.

#### RUCKUS operating standard

Before launch we agree the review coverage, prepare a short brief and annotated examples, and assign a named reviewer. The review log should record the submission, decision, rule involved and next action. Repeated errors feed back into the guide and training. Weekly reports separate submissions, approvals, qualifying views, spend and measured destination actions.

## CPM & payouts

[Read on the website](https://gta6clippers.com/learn/what-clippers-get-paid)

[Skip to content](https://gta6clippers.com/learn/what-clippers-get-paid#main-content)

[GTA 6 Clippers](https://gta6clippers.com/) / How payment works

### How payment works

Read this before you cut anything: how a rate turns into a payout, what stops a clip earning, who sends the money, and why you will find no income figures on this page.

#### Why this page has no income figures

Most guides with this title open with a number, and many print a table of monthly income by posting volume. We do not, for two reasons.

A payout is a rate multiplied by verified views. RUCKUS publishes the rate on every brief. Nobody can publish your views. Anyone who prints an income figure has guessed at your view count and presented the guess as a fact.

The FTC also treats an earnings claim used to recruit people as a representation that needs backing from real results. RUCKUS is recruiting its bench before GTA 6 reaches consoles on 19 November 2026 and has run no paid campaigns yet, so there is nothing to back a figure with. Here is the mechanic instead.

#### The five ways a campaign pays

Almost every brief uses one of these five, sometimes with a bounty on top. The structure matters more than the headline rate.

| Structure | How the payout is calculated | What to read in the brief
| Rate per 1,000 views | Verified views divided by 1,000, multiplied by the rate. | Rate, minimum, per-clip cap.
| Pot distribution | A fixed budget splits by each clipper's share of the qualified views. | Budget left, clippers already in.
| Bounty | A flat amount for one defined outcome, on top of the rate. | The exact condition, the bounty cap.
| Per-post fee | A set amount per approved post, whatever the views do after. | Post count, approval standard.
| Retainer | A set amount for a set volume across a set period. | Deliverables, term, notice period.

#### Rate per 1,000 views, and what verified means

Gaming campaigns usually run on the first structure. The formula is short: verified views, divided by 1,000, multiplied by the rate. We will not fill a view count into it for you, because that is the number nobody knows in advance, including us.

The platform counts only the views its own tracking recognises on the post you submitted. Bought views, engagement pods and bot traffic get stripped out, and on most briefs they get the clip denied. Views stop counting the moment you delete the post, make it private or re-upload it.

Market rates, as context and nothing else

A published campaign board is the only honest source for a rate. Across the open marketplaces those boards run from about $0.10 to $3.00 per 1,000 views, and entertainment and gaming work generally sits between $0.20 and $1.00 per 1,000. Those are other companies' published ranges, read off their own pages as market context. They are not a RUCKUS rate, not a RUCKUS promise and not a prediction about you. The only rate that applies to you is the one printed on the brief you are reading.

Read the unit before you compare anything. Several platforms quote per 100,000 views, which makes identical money look a hundred times larger. A card reading $10 to $300 per 100,000 views is the same money as $0.10 to $3.00 per 1,000. Those are other companies' published ranges and not a RUCKUS rate.

#### Minimum view thresholds

Nearly every campaign sets a floor. Below it the clip pays nothing, and those views do not roll over to the next clip. Floors vary widely. On live campaign pages across the open marketplaces a floor of 25,000 views is common, and published floors run from 10,000 to 500,000 depending on the campaign, so read the floor on the brief in front of you rather than assuming a number.

Check the floor before the rate. A campaign with a high rate and a 100,000 floor asks for different work than a campaign with a lower rate and a 20,000 floor. Read both numbers together before you decide which campaign to cut for.

#### Per-clip caps

A cap sets the maximum one clip can pay however many views that clip gets, and the buyer sets it so a single outlier cannot take the whole budget. A buyer who sets a low cap and a higher rate is paying across many clips. A buyer who sets no cap and a lower rate is paying mostly on whichever clip travels furthest. Read the cap and the rate together.

#### Pot distributions

Some campaigns pay no fixed rate. The buyer posts a budget, everyone who qualifies posts, then the platform divides the pot by share of qualified views. The value of a view is not fixed here, so it falls as more clippers qualify into the same pot, and the total cannot overrun, so the buyer knows the ceiling.

#### Bounties

A bounty is a flat amount attached to one defined outcome, paid on top of the rate and carrying its own cap. Read the condition word for word, and ask the buyer before you cut if any part of it is open to more than one reading.

#### The tracking window and the hold

Content Rewards, the platform RUCKUS campaigns will run on, currently counts views on a CPM campaign for 7 days from the moment the post goes live, then holds the payout for 3 days before release. Views arriving on day 9 do not count toward that clip, and the hold gives the platform time to strip fraudulent views before money moves. The window starts when your post goes live, so check the window length on the brief before you plan when to post.

#### Who pays whom

- The buyer funds their own campaign inside their own Content Rewards organization. The money never passes through RUCKUS.

- The platform pays clippers directly out of that pot, on its own schedule and under its own terms.

- RUCKUS invoices the buyer separately at 20% of the approved budget. That fee never comes out of the clipper pot.

- Nothing is ever sold to clippers. No course, no paid tier, no fee to join, no upsell later.

- Withdrawals run through the platform's payout provider, which may run its own identity checks. RUCKUS never asks you for an ID or a date of birth. You confirm you are 18 or over.

- Nobody withholds tax for you, and any forms come from the payout provider rather than from RUCKUS.

What RUCKUS is in this chain

RUCKUS is a studio and creator services business. We write the brief, run the review queue and hold the buyer relationship. We do not sit between you and your money, and we take no percentage of yours.

#### Disclosure is part of getting paid

If a campaign pays you to post, you have a material connection to the buyer and you have to disclose it. Say it out loud at the start of the video, not buried in the caption, and switch on the platform's paid-content tool: Branded content on TikTok and Instagram, paid promotion on YouTube, the label on X. The FTC Endorsement Guides put that duty on the person posting. On RUCKUS briefs an undisclosed paid post is a published denial reason.

#### Six questions to ask before you cut

- What is the rate, and in what unit?

- What is the minimum view threshold?

- Is there a per-clip cap, and how much budget is left?

- If it is a pot, how many clippers are already in?

- How long is the tracking window and the hold?

- What disclosure does the brief require, and which tool switches it on?

#### Questions, answered

##### Do I need followers before a campaign will pay me?

No. A payout is calculated from verified views on the post you submitted, and the platform counts those views whether the account has 40 followers or 400,000. Follower count is not part of the payout formula, and the minimum view threshold on a brief is the same number for everyone in the campaign.

##### Can I post the same clip to TikTok, Reels and Shorts and get paid for all three?

Read the brief. Every campaign names the platforms it pays on, and a post on a platform the campaign does not list earns nothing however it performs. Where a campaign does pay on several platforms, each approved post is tracked separately by its own link. Re-uploading the same clip over and over to one account is a different thing, and platforms strip or suppress duplicates under their own originality rules.

##### Why would a clip be denied after I have already posted it?

Review happens after the post is live, so a clip can pass the view threshold and still pay nothing. The usual reasons are the ones printed on the brief: missing tags, mentions or links, footage pulled from outside the allowed source material, an edit the buyer ruled out, bought or bot views, and a paid post with no disclosure. RUCKUS publishes the full denial list on the brief before you submit, and nothing gets denied for a reason that was not on the page. The review queue tells you which line a clip failed.

##### Can a copyright claim on the footage stop my payout?

Yes. A post that gets taken down stops counting, so the views on it cannot be verified and the clip pays nothing. Use only the source material the brief names, because footage from outside it is both a denial reason and a takedown risk. If you are not sure a source is covered, ask before you cut rather than after the clip is live.

### Clipper FAQs

Campaigns, submissions, payments and working with RUCKUS.

#### What is GTA clipping?

Taking authorized GTA stream or video footage, editing short highlights and publishing them on the platforms named in a campaign. The campaign tells you what to make and how approved work is paid.

#### Do I need followers or experience?

You can join the RUCKUS community for free and use the guides while learning. Each campaign sets its own account and quality requirements. RUCKUS participation is 18+.

#### Are there paid campaigns right now?

Not yet. Join Discord for updates, practise with footage you have permission to use and check the campaign page for availability. The Whop join link will be added when the hub is ready.

#### Why could a submission be rejected?

It may use the wrong footage, omit a required tag or disclosure, use an unapproved account, miss the deadline or break another published rule. Read the feedback, check the brief and ask through the campaign support route if you disagree.

#### How do CPM, per-post and retainers differ?

CPM pays for qualifying views, per-post pays for an approved deliverable and a retainer covers agreed deliverables in a recurring period. Read the actual campaign terms, fees and limits before starting.

#### Can I work more closely with a streamer or RP server?

That is part of the network we are building. Share relevant work, your availability and experience. Repeat editing, long-form production and retainers need a separate agreed scope and budget.
